City Centre Location
Metro Stop Repubblica
The proximity of the Metro Stop Repubblica which is only 50 metres away means that the Duomo is reachable in 3 stops. The Duomo or Milan Cathedral is the historical city centre where you can also find La Scala Opera House and the best shopping, artistic monuments, museums and art galleries.
How to get to Bergamo
The bus must take the Milano-Venezia motorway which is very busy from about 4pm till 7pm so if your flight leaves in the early evening you should depart Milan with lots of time to spare i.e. leave at least 3 hours before departure. Feel free to print out the Hotel Sempione Milano Interactive Map or use it to get driving instructions.
Click here to find out how to arrive at the Milan Hotel Sempione if you are driving.
From the Airports: Malpensa, Linate and Bergamo Orio al Serio.
You can take the Malpensa express train or the bus both of which terminate at Milan’s Central Station. Journey time 1 hour. From here you can take the Yellow Metro Line 3 1 stop to La Repubblica.
Alternatively if it’s a nice sunny day in Milan why not just walk down the via dei Pisani, go right down to the bottom and turn right. From Linate take the shuttle bus to the Central Station – journey time 25 minutes. Finally from Bergamo Orio al Serio you can either take the Terravision shuttle bus or the Airport Shuttle bus. Both cost approximately 7 euro one way and take about 1 hour depending on traffic.
Getting to the Fieramilano Rho Pero and the Fieramilanocity
Take the metro from La Repubblica Metro Stop located very near the Hotel Sempione 3 stops to Duomo.
From here you can take the Red Line 2 in the direction of Pero Rho. If you are going to Milan’s new trade fair exhibition centre Fieramilano then you should alight when the metro terminates at Pero Rho.
Alternatively, if you are attending a smaller event at the old Fiera Milano i.e. Fieramilanocity then please alight at Amendola Fiera or Lotto depending on which entrance you are using.
