Value for Money and Excellent Location!
We came to Milan for the Easter break in 2006 and had a really
wonderful time… We booked the Hotel Sempione online
directly with the hotel taking advantage of their “Best
Rate Guaranteed” pledge if you book directly… we
paid about 100 euro for a double room which included an adequate
buffet breakfast that set us up nicely for the day.
The hotel is well positioned thanks to the nearby
Metro stop which is 1 stop from the air terminal and about
3 or 4 from the main tourist attractions. There are quite
a few big modern hotels nearby like the Principe di Savoy
and a huge Ibis Centro hotel just over the road so it is obviously
a great location for hotels in Milan. We thought the service
was excellent and the accommodation excellent value for money….
We plan to go back to Milan in November 2007 for some Christmas
Shopping and we hope to stay at the Sempione!

Retail Therapy in Milan!
Dear Hotel Sempione, many thanks for making our stay in Milan
so wonderful… normally we sign the guest book but you
don’t have one… anyway, we visited your hotel
in April 2006 as myself and my sister love shopping and as
Milan is regarded as the fashion capital of Europe we simply
had to visit! Funnily enough we found your hotel by "cheap
accommodation in Milan near shopping" we didn’t
find you straight away instead we found www.milanhotelsdirect.com – after
an exhaustive search of this site we decided on your Hotel
Sempione because of the great location and the reasonable room
rates you were charging in late April… it turned out
to be everything we expected it to be i.e. near the best shopping
in Milan i.e. just around the corner from the Corso Buenos
Aries which is a magnificent shopping street in Milan with
bargains galore… plus we also visited the nearby (10
minutes on the Metro) Via Montenapoleone but found the Italian
Designer Stores had prices that left us gob smacked….
Finally, please tell your concierge to tell all future guests
that you cannot go to Milan without a wee walk down the Galleria
and the pedestrianised bit of San Babila which I think goes
from La Scala Opera House all the way to the Duomo. Anyway,
thanks for a great stay and we have recommended your hotel
to all of our shopaholic friends who want to come to Milan
for some much needed Retail Therapy.

Nice Restaurant!
Just thought I would drop a note to say a big thanks to your
Hotel Staff and the staff of your Restaurant La Repubblica
for making my stay in Milan so enjoyable… I come to
Milan a lot on business and usually stay at the Ibis Centro
just over the road…. Unfortunately, it was fully booked
so my colleague suggested your hotel! I’m glad he did
as I really enjoyed myself… the service was great and
much more personal and friendly than you get in the bigger
hotels… the restaurant was also excellent and the Fish “Branzini” dish
I had just melted in the mouth! I come to Milan twice a year
for the Mipel Leather Fair and I will definitely be staying
at the Hotel Sempione… After all the location on the
main metro line to Duomo makes it ideal for reaching the Fiera
Milano both the new one and the old one Fieramilanocity. Looking
forward to seeing you soon… please keep up the excellent
